Zodiac T3 Suction Cleaner

Simplicity. It connects to your skimmer box, runs off your existing filtration pump, and requires no wiring, charging or configuration. It uses a random pattern to cover the floor. For a pool owner who wants automatic floor cleaning without another device to manage, it is the most straightforward option available.

The cleaner moves in an unpredictable path rather than following a mapped route. Over a full cycle it covers the floor through sheer coverage rather than systematic navigation. It is less efficient than a mapped robotic cleaner, but on a standard rectangular pool over a normal filtration run, the result is a clean floor.

No. There is no wiring, no charging and no configuration. It is powered entirely by the suction from your filtration pump. That means one less thing to remember and nothing that can go flat when you want to use it.

The T3 is a floor cleaner. If walls or the waterline are your concern, look at a robotic cleaner with wall and waterline coverage such as the FR1000 iQ or the EvoluX EX6050 iQ. We would rather tell you that up front than have you disappointed.

Yes. It cleans only while your pump is on, so cleaning happens during your normal filtration hours. On a variable speed pump it needs enough flow to drive properly, which usually means a higher speed than your everyday setting. We configure this at installation.

It passes through the hose into your skimmer basket and then your filter. That means checking the skimmer basket regularly, and backwashing more often than you would with a robotic cleaner. On leafy properties an inline leaf catcher takes most of that load off the system.

Hose length and flow adjustment are everything. Get either wrong and the cleaner will stall, miss sections or get stuck at one end. We set both correctly when we install it, and we can retune an existing cleaner that has never worked well.

Keep the skimmer and pump baskets clear, check the hose for splits, and replace wear parts as needed. There is very little to it, which is the point of a cleaner in this category.

A manufacturer backed warranty applies, with duration and conditions set by Zodiac and dependent on how the cleaner is used and the surface it operates on. Your purchase is also covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. We register the warranty and handle any claim with the supplier.
