A Tired Pool Given a New Lease on Life

When we first arrived, this Narrow Neck pool had reached the point where a simple repair was no longer enough. The original interior had deteriorated significantly, with widespread delamination causing large sections of the old surface to lift away from the shell. Not only did it look tired, but it also made ongoing maintenance more difficult and was only going to continue worsening over time.

The owners wanted to restore the pool properly while also refreshing the surrounding outdoor entertaining area so the entire space felt cohesive again.

We began by completely draining the pool and removing the failed interior finish back to a sound substrate. Once the shell had been carefully prepared, we applied a brand-new premium aggregate interior, giving the pool a fresh, durable finish designed to provide decades of enjoyment.

To complete the transformation, the existing waterline tiles were replaced with elegant glass mosaics that complement the surrounding landscaping and create a crisp, modern edge.

The renovation didn't stop at the pool itself. We also coordinated the installation of new outdoor tiles extending from the rear living area right around the pool, creating a seamless connection between the home and the water. Existing tiles and artificial turf were removed, the substrate prepared, and the client-supplied porcelain tiles professionally installed to produce a clean, contemporary entertaining space.

The finished result completely transformed the backyard. What was once an ageing, deteriorating swimming pool is now the centrepiece of the property, with crystal-clear blue water, premium finishes and a timeless design that looks right at home amongst the lush tropical planting.
