Spas have a completely different geometry from pools: deep footwells, moulded seating, tight corners and short walls. A pool cleaner is too large and too flat to work in that space. The Spabot SB1000 is purpose built to move around spa seating and footwells, which is where debris actually settles.

Into an onboard debris canister, which you empty after each run. Because it collects rather than circulates, it keeps hair, grit and leaf fragments out of your spa filter cartridge, which means cartridge cleaning less often and better water flow.

That depends on use. A well used family spa benefits from a run every week or two, while a lightly used spa needs it less often. Spa water volume is small relative to bather load, so debris and body residue concentrate quickly compared with a pool.

No. It handles physical debris, not water chemistry. Spas still need regular sanitiser management, filter cartridge cleaning and periodic water changes. Because spa water volume is small, chemistry moves fast and needs more frequent attention than a pool does.

Empty and rinse the debris canister after each run, rinse the unit with fresh water occasionally, and store it out of direct sunlight rather than leaving it in or beside the spa. Spa water runs hotter and with higher chemical concentration than pool water, so rinsing matters more here.

Keep it charged rather than flat, store it shaded and dry, and do not leave it sitting in hot spa water between runs. Heat is the enemy of any battery, and spa water is hot by definition, so the storage habit matters more with a spa cleaner than a pool cleaner.
