Astralpool Halo Hub Xpand

They extend what your Halo Chlor system can control. Both provide two 240VAC power outlets with a maximum combined output of 9.5 Amps. The Halo Hub goes further, adding four valve relays, one heater relay, dry contact connections and ports for water and air temperature sensors. In short, Xpand adds power outlets, Hub adds full equipment control.

If you simply want to switch additional equipment on and off to a schedule, Xpand is enough. If you want to control valves, integrate a heater, or read water and air temperature into the system, you need the Hub. Most customers adding heating or in floor cleaning control need the Hub. Tell us what you want to control and we will specify it.

The Halo Hub and Xpand are designed as plug and play modules that do not require an electrician for the module itself. That said, whatever you plug into them still has to be compliant, and if new circuits or fixed wiring are involved a registered electrician is required. We have one on the team, so either way it is handled.

These modules are built to expand the AstralPool Halo Chlor system, which delivers up to 9.5 Amps output across four sizes (18, 25, 35 and 45 grams per hour). If you have a different chlorinator, the modules will not integrate with it. We can advise on the upgrade path if you want the full Halo system.

Both modules supply two 240VAC outlets with a maximum combined output of 9.5 Amps. That is enough for typical pool equipment, but adding several high draw items can exceed it. We calculate the total load at design stage rather than discovering the limit after installation.

They let the system automatically switch water flow between circuits, such as pool and spa, or between filtration and a water feature. Combined with the heater relay, this means the system can heat the spa, switch valves, run the pump and return everything to normal without you touching anything.

Water and air temperature sensor ports let the system make decisions based on conditions rather than just the clock. That means heating that responds to actual water temperature, and the ability to see your pool temperature from your phone before deciding whether to swim. It is a small addition that changes how usable the automation feels.

You can add them later, which is the point of the modular design. Many customers start with the Halo Chlor and add Hub, Xpand, Halo Lite or the Halo Doser as budget allows. We are happy to map out a staged plan so each purchase builds on the last rather than duplicating it.
