Beachfront Pools and Body Corporate Pools

Takapuna is really two service markets sitting on top of each other. The private pools, particularly on the beachfront and around Lake Pupuke, are high value, often heated, frequently part of a designed landscape, and owned by people who expect the pool to be ready every day rather than most days. The shared pools in the apartment and townhouse complexes are a different discipline altogether.

Shared pools carry heavy and unpredictable bather loads, and they carry obligations. Water quality has to be maintained and demonstrated, not just achieved. Testing needs to be frequent and recorded. Chemical storage, fencing and signage all matter. The person receiving the invoice is a committee that needs to be able to show the work was done. We service to that standard and provide the records to match.

On the private side, the beachfront strip deals with constant salt and wind off the gulf, and the pohutukawa along the reserve drop heavily through summer. Corrosion on rails, ladders and light housings is a routine check here, not an occasional one. Around Lake Pupuke the conditions are gentler but the planting is more mature, so the debris load shifts from salt and sand to leaf and organic material.
