During the winter months, while they lie there idle, swimming pools can seem like an overly expensive luxury. Heat pumps work to keep your pool warm in the months either side of the swimming season. Boosting pool water temperatures up to as much as 30 degrees, heat pumps provide superior heating temperatures to solar (on a par with gas heaters) and, as a consequence, can make a pool available to swimmers 24 hours a day during all but the coldest months. In addition they effectively extend 'summer' conditions either side of the season, providing you with a swimming season that comfortably begins in early October and extends through into the following June.
