In 1997, after five years working in Sydney as a sub-contractor, Grant Garry set up Sparkling Pools (1997) Ltd. Joined in the business by his wife, Julia, the business quickly flourished, expanding out from its original Remuera-based clientele to encompass the wider Auckland area.
The company's business focus adapts, from time to time, to the changing economic and social climate, but the core company values remain well-embedded in the principles of strong family values; ethics and integrity; creativity and reliablity.
Grant Garry - Director
While Grant's primary focus is project management, he still continues to personally oversee many aspects of daily hands-on work. With over 20 years experience in the the industry, he can bring an unlimited amount of knowledge and intuition to bear in most problematic or innovative situations. He will visit you on site to assess and discuss requirements for pool renovation projects and for major equipment upgrades. He is directly available to clients 6 days a week.
Julia Garry - Director
Julia's focus is marketing, developing & maintaining infrastructure, I.T., and overseeing daily administration. She will liaise directly with clients on aspects of project management, client research and information, and on any major account issues or initiatives.
Phil McGarry - Accounts & Admin
Phil is responsible for accounts and a host of daily admin tasks. His is the voice that you are likely to hear at the end of the phone when you call the office. He occupies a key role in the business and is a primary relationship-maker for the company. Keen and always willing to help, Phil never hesitates to go the extra mile to help a client out.
Sean Smith - Pool Service Technician
Sean has been with us from the beginning, joining the company during 1998. His many years of pool industry experience make him a great resource and he is our specialist pool technician. He troubleshoots all manner of pool problems, installs new equipment, services existing machinery and facilitates pool renovations. Attentive and mindful, Sean is perenially popular with an enormous number of our clients.
Denis Breen - Pool Valet Serviceman
Denis has been with the company since late 2003. He likes the outdoors and really enjoys pool valeting, viewing it as a positive life-style chloice. Gentle, phlegmatic and sociable, he is a good relationship builder and will quickly make you feel comfortable and well looked after.
Owen Brider - Pool Valet Serviceman
Owen has been with us for over 5 years. An invaluable team member, Owen is strong, loyal and fun-loving. Always open to learning new skills at any opportunity, and happy to help out in any way, he gets genuine satisfaction from taking great care of clients' pools.
Mike Rowe - Pool Valet Serviceman
Mike has been with us since 2009. He is a keen family man, with a practical turn of mind. An inherently happy person, he instinctively seeks to increase the happiness of others, making him an ideal valet men, well-motivated to look after all pool related concerns for his dedicated clients.
Chris Johnstone - Pool Valet Serviceman
We welcome Chris to the team this summer. Chris comes from a sporting and engineering background. Full of energy, intelligent and fast to learn, we anticipate that he will quickly pick up requisite and extended skills and prove himself an invaluable asset to company and clients alike.
